Job Service North Dakota is excited to begin 2026 with its 5th Annual Virtual Job Fair, happening January 29, 2026. This year’s theme, “Five Years Strong, Find Where You Belong,” celebrates half a decade of connecting employers and job seekers from across North Dakota and beyond.
Last year’s event drew more than 500 job seekers from 24 states and several countries, reflecting the growing reach and impact of this online opportunity. The virtual format continues to make it easier than ever for employers to find qualified candidates and for job seekers to explore new opportunities—without leaving their desks.
A Convenient Way to Connect Talent and Opportunity
The fair is hosted on the Easy Virtual Fair platform, designed for simplicity and flexibility. Employers can build and customize virtual booths, upload videos or webinars, and interact directly with job seekers through private chat. Whether an organization has one open position or hundreds, the Virtual Job Fair makes it easy to engage with candidates and review submitted resumes in real time.
Past participants consistently praise the platform’s ease of use, the strong candidate pool, and the value of the connections made. For many, it has become a key strategy in their annual recruitment plans.
Connecting Students and Job Seekers Nationwide
While the event is promoted nationwide to attract a broad range of talent, Job Service North Dakota also collaborates closely with local colleges and universities. Students across North Dakota and surrounding states will receive direct invitations, and the event is promoted through Handshake and community partners.
The engagement doesn’t end when the job fair does—Job Service North Dakota continues to assist attendees afterward, offering resources on job searching, applications, and information about living and working in North Dakota.
Free for Employers—And Open to All
Participation in the Virtual Job Fair is free for employers, making it an accessible and cost-effective way to strengthen recruitment strategies. Employers who cannot attend are encouraged to post openings on the North Dakota State Job Board, which sees impressive traffic—4.5 million views last year alone—with over 227,000 active job seekers and 150,000 new users. Job Service North Dakota can help post jobs, refer candidates, or even act as a virtual recruiter, all at no cost.
As North Dakota employers continue to build strong teams for the new year, Job Service North Dakota invites them to join the growing community of businesses taking part in this dynamic virtual event.
