The 2026 construction season is upon us! Red River Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) currently has seven homes under construction in Larimore, Michigan, Lakota, and Hoople.
- The Larimore home is a 2,200 square foot, four bedroom, 2 ½ bath home with a three-stall garage.
- The two homes in Michigan are the same 1,600 square foot, three-bedroom, two bathroom, two stall garage house plan that we have built previously.
- The two Hoople homes are similar size but a slightly different floor plan.
- In Lakota we are trying out a new twin-home plan. Each side will have 1,400 square feet, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-stall garage.
We also recently received awards of HIF funding to build two homes in Cavalier, and a twin-home in Rugby. More details on these homes will be available this fall.
All Spark Build Homes are built in partnership with municipalities that donate lots, local banks that provide partial construction financing, and the North Dakota Housing Incentive Fund. Homes are sold at cost. Besides a requirement that the home must be the primary residence of the buyer, there are no restrictions on who is eligible to purchase a Spark Build home.
