NCJDA Awards Michigan Ambulance Grant for Training and Office Equipment

Michigan Area Ambulance Service requested funding assistance for the purchase of a CPR/First Aid training mannequin and a new office computer. Quotes for both items were submitted to the Nelson County Job Development Authority (NCJDA) Board for consideration.

After reviewing the request, the NCJDA Board approved a grant award of $1,500 to assist with the purchase of these essential training and operational equipment items. This investment supports the Ambulance Service’s ability to provide quality emergency response training and maintain efficient administrative operations, ultimately benefiting the residents of the Michigan area and surrounding communities.

It is of note that the Nelson County State’s Attorney determined that NCJDA may transfer funds to another county-funded entity through a joint powers’ agreement, provided the funding supports a permissible purpose and aligns with NCJDA’s mission and goals.
